Stephen's Story
Wow... what a strange n crazy trip it's been in the over four decades since I last walked the halls of CSS. Married with two grown daughters and five grand children. After graduation I worked as a civil draftsman for both provincial and municipal governments but I couldn't stand the office politics so I changed careers. I spent nearly eight years in the metal shop at Bayly Engineering in Ajax. Then in July of '83 I moved the family to Belleville to be the seventh employee of a then new manufacturing firm, Quest-Tech Precision. It's still in business as of this date but I am no longer an employee. Forced into early retirement times are tough right at this moment.
I'm still a piston head. I've had a number of great cars and motorcycles. I've raced karts, motorcycles and formula cars. After 25 years of bugging my wife she finally got her motorcycle license in '99. We enjoy riding the twisties whether they be here in Ontario or the mountains of north Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. We've only taken one vacation abroad. But that was a ten day motorcycle trip through Tuscany in Italy. You kno...Expand for more

Some may recall the little garage band I was part of back in the day. Well, after the wedding and the kids the guitars got pushed to the back of the closet. They only saw day light when ever we moved or every couple to four years when I'd think to check, clean and re string them. Fast forward to 2004. I heard an ad on the radio for an acoustic guitar festival in Odessa and thought since I had the weekend to myself I'd go. I was blow away by this thing they call fingerstyle guitar. I was hooked. I dragged out my old guitars and bought some new ones too. I've been playing off and on ever since. I've become a legend in my own mind. ;-)
I've had some health issues and although I didn't let those slow me down then things have changed in recent years. Everything is up for sale and there are no new vacations planned.
I'll be dropping out of this group but will still be around on the Historic Courtice facebook page.
