Stephen's Story
Still working. My pension took one heck of a hit a yeqr ago thanks to the unbelievably inept and incompetent government we have now been saddled with. On the other hand I am still quite healthy and enjoy my work, so i really do not know when I will retire. Been married 46 years this year. Have 4 great kids and 4 wonderful grandhildren. Looking back, it's been a great life. The road I travelled has been full of adventure, tragedy, sadness, and joy. "Oh, the places you'll go, the things you'll see" pretty much describes my life. As I get older i think a lot about the thousands of people of met, and the stories I've seen and been a part of. I have see...Expand for more
n a lot of death, birth, sickness and joy. I am now in my 42nd year as a parish pastor. One line from the great movie, "True Confessions" (starring Robert deNiro, and Robert Duvall) comes to mind: In the movie deNiro, who plays a priest, says to his brother: "When they come t my door it's never to say 'hello'. Forty two years at play in the fields of the Lord.....what an adventure. As I grow older I seem to be looking at my life as a complex jig saw puzzle with all the pieces on a table.....and I am putting it together. Don't know about the rest of you, but.......
