Steve's Story
Life
OK gang here goes. I became of preacher, a photographer, an editor and a teacher. And now I am a little bit of everything. I have pastored a church, been an editor of a newspaper and corporate magazines, owned and I still do) a photography business and I am a journalism teacher for one of the best high school newspapers in the country.
God has blessed me with award-winning students each year. He has also blessed me with a young (thank God much younger wife) and a great family.
I spent part of this past summer with a bunch of photographers treking across France, Italy and Scicly photographing the scenes....Expand for more
Last year it was Alaska.
Don't plan on retiring from teaching until I'm 68-69 if they will let me then who knows what. I'm too young to retire.
Recently I took a Sabbatical from teaching a Bible class to write. I will soon help a young pastor to write several books he has in mind.
Will update this and other things later.
Update: Now traveling and teaching at the same time. Will be speaking in March at Columbia University then at UT in Austin to journalism students.
Summer scheduling is filling up rapidly.
Now I am spending two weeks at the Walter Cronkite Center in Arizona on a full Fellowship program.
