Steve's Story
Life
I've got a wife and three great kids....and we're living just outside the capital of this great land. We're soaking up some extreme history here in Virginia....though it seems strange to be a southerner since we are only about 75 miles South of Lincoln, NE. Work is great.....though an early retirement would be even greater!! :)
School
High school......wow......haven't thought of that in years. I had a very small group of friends in high school that I never see or talk to any more. Maybe I'll get back that way some day and change that.
College
College wasn't a particularly great time in my life.....at least the early years weren't. I continued on though.....and on.....and on and on.......but eventually was glad I did it in the end, ...sheesh!!! :)
Workplace

job......and my wife says I 'better' love it after moving her and the kids 1200 miles from everything that was comfortable to them. I really do have my dream job.....I am paid to use my degree and am busy conducting research on interesting problems....well...."I" find them interesting. My field of study is remote sensing.....and I recently became a Certified Mapping Scientist - Remote Sensing (#RS-147, ASPRS, expires 09/08/09).
Military
I joined the Guards to help defray some of the extensive educational (partying) debt I had begun to accumulate. They were good for about $15K.....not nearly enough! I stuck it out with them (12 years) until I needed more weekend time to work on my research and put in the desired family time. After I graduated, I did another 2 years with the Reserves.
