Steve's Story
Life
My husband Scott and I adopted a baby boy (Henry) from Cambodia in the spring of 2002. We moved from Minneapolis to Seattle,Wa in 2003. We lived on Lake Washington and could see Bill Gates house from ours. He was on the rich side. I worked for Target Corporation for 22 yrs with the last 12 as a Human Resource executive, but retired in 2005 to be a stay at home dad. I worked part time at Henry's school doing resource development. (fundraising). In 2010 Scott took a job in Philadelphia and we live in an old historic area called Chestnut Hill. a dad and all the mistakes I make with our son. I try to be funny, but I sometimes fall short.
We really like to travel and have gone to some kind of interesting places including Iceland, Israel, Czech Republic, and we spent three weeks in Spain one summer, as well as Cambodia (4 times) and much of Europe. Along with a couple other families, we started an NGO in 2002 which supports the orphanage where we adopted Henry.
We like to go to galleries and museums and are trying to get Henry to appreciate art, but he's much more into cars, playing basketball and soccer and of course, losing himself in playstation.
I would like to reconnect with friends from HS and college.
Oh yeah, and I've gotten fat, but am working on that.
