Where does one start? I guess at the beginning. I grew up in Pacific Palisades and attended Palisades Elementary School. From there I went to Emerson Jr. High for the 7th grade. Paul Revere Jr. High was completed in time for me to start the 8th grade. After Paul Revere it was on to Uni High. A very big change! During my school years my personal life also changed. In 1958 my parents sold our house in the Palisades and we moved to Mandeville Cyn. Rd. in Brentwood. Because of the Bel Aire fire in 1961, my parents became a little nervous about living in a canyon area. In the early fall of 1963, we moved to the ocean side of Palos Verdes. A beautiful house with a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean. I only lived in that house for 2 weeks. I had enlisted in the Navy and had to report to boot camp in San Diego. My years at Uni High School were spent more on having fun than studying. I was in a Y club, the Chancellors. A lot of great guys and we had lots of fun but......! Too much fun and not enough studying. Something that I've always regretted. After graduation, I attended SMCC where I received my AA. After that I joined the Navy where I finally "grew up."
