Life After high school, I attended the University of Nebraska on a diving scholarship and also competed on the gymnastics team. I was the NCAA Floor Exercise National Champion in '80 & '82 and we won 4 NCAA National Gymnastics Team Championships - '79-82. I also continued competing on the USA National Tumbling Team winning 8 various World Tumbling Titles. I spent a short time in California working as a stuntman and even appeared in a "Texas - It's Like a Whole 'nother Country" commercial in the mid-80's. I also worked on the gymnastics movie "American Anthem". In 1991, I tried aerial snow skiing and did well until I tore my ACL. I came back from the surgery and competed another year and finally retiring (for good) at the age of 31. Since college, I have been coaching girls gymnastics. I was on the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Staff for 6 years leading up to the 1996 Olympics where the USA won the Gold!
