steve grabowski adams ... I am a retired commercial pilot (currently living on my boat in Florida) and have flown Boeing 757's, DC-8's, etc. on international routes around the world. Folks, this has been one wild ride for this Lackawanna boy, and I have had the time of my life since I saw all of you back in 1971. This career has taken me everywhere and I have seen sights, met people, and lived in places that I would never have imagined back in LHS (like living in Saudi Arabia - where I flew as a personal pilot for a Sheik in Jeddah...who would have thunk?). I lived aboard my first boat for around 5 or 6 years, back in the 1990's (three of them were in the Abaco chain of the Bahama Islands) and wrote and self-published a book for novice skippers who we...Expand for more
re going to the Bahamas for the first time...I wrote it almost as a joke (thinking I might sell about 10 or 15 of them). Well, wouldn't you know it...the friggin' thing went national on me. I went insane trying to keep up with all the details of something like that; writing, editing, overseeing the publishing, marketing, sales, distribution, - all on a national scope, and most of it by myself...Jeez, it is amazing I still have my mind after all of that. Thank God for Margaritas is all I can say. That is literally the start of this one-way, crazy sleigh ride and there is far, far too much to write in this small space. Hope you are all doing well.
