Music My favourite activity (outside of more personal, intimate ones!) I've played in rock bands, country bands, club bands, marching bands, community bands, folk groups, jazz groups, and stage orchestras. I've sung in school and university choirs, church choirs, community choirs, and all the previously-named band types. As a soloist and in groups I've played at folk festivals in Regina, Edmonton, and Yellowknife. I've recorded three albums with folk group Ceilidh Friends, one with men's group The Gumboots, and one solo album; I've been guest musician on six other recordings. ng Canada at Nagoya, Japan, at EXPO 2005. Done some acting as well, small roles in local theatre groups, such as Tim the Enchanter in "Search for the Holy Grail" and Erronius in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." Most memorable shows (as an audience member): Simon & Garfunkel, Montreal 1967; Ike and Tina Turner, Regina, 1970; Weird Al Yankovic, Edmonton, 2015; Travel My second most favourite activity. I've visited every province and territory of Canada except Newfoundland & Labrador, and Nunavut. As a solo traveller, I've visited England, USA, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. As a teacher I've taken students to England, Scotland, France, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Monaco, and Germany. As a musician I've played in England, Isle of Man, USA, Scotland, and Japan. With my family I've been to England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Iceland, Japan, Isle of Man, and USA. Favourite places: Stonehenge, Isle of Man, Hiroshima, Hay on Wye, Paris, Delphi. The summer of 2022 brought a very special set of events. Dawn and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. Among the guests were all our family: Caitlin from Yellowknife, Adrian and April from Edmonton, and Bryan, Julia, Sebastian and Thomas from Regina. Been years since the whole family has been together! And with many good friends around us, and many more sending good vibes from afar whether electronically or psychically, we had a really wonderful celebration! (Look for a Facebook group called "Steve and Dawn's 50th anniversary bash" for some photos and messages!)

A day or two late, but here's a pic for Father's Day. My dad and my wife in front of Providence Place in Moose Jaw. Taken in August, not long after his 90th birthday. He departed in November of that year
