Steve's Story
Life
Transferred from Righetti HS in Santa Maria to Leigh HS in San Jose after my sophomore year ('67-'68). Played basketball and ran track all 4 years of HS. Graduated from San Jose State. Have had positions in retail, teaching elementary school, corporate training, sales and (finally) a career in data processing. Most recently, I led a software development team located in the San Francisco Bay Area (telecommuting from my home in Ohio from 2000 through 2008). I was laid off at the end of '08 and I'm currently trying to figure out how to spend my final pre-retirement years.

one college grad (from my previous marriage) and two youngsters (ages 13 & 11) at home.
In January of 2008 we went 'rural'. We now live on seven acres, a few miles outside a smallish town in north-central Ohio (Ashland). When the weather permits, we love to relax on our porch and look out over our three-acre pond (complete with an island in the middle) and the woods surrounding us on two sides. There's plenty of wildlife to observe--deer, tons of birds (including our own adopted flock of geese)and, of course, the fish jumping.
