Life
Born and raised in/around Truckee. After TNT did 20 years in the US Coast Guard. Back "home" now rockhounding, hiking, photography and fly-fishing. Enjoying life again. Was married over 26 years..... I'm not really looking for someone new, if I were - it would be a lady with a kind heart (AND NOT CONTROLLING !!!)
School
Donner Trail Elementary, TNT. Coast Guard: tele-communications/classified material handling, law enforcement training/master at arms and Regional Systems Manager (computers/networks). After the Coast Guard: worked for a computer firm building servers/workstations/networking - got really sick of hearing all the complaints, so I moved back home. Federation of Fly FIshers training. One of my passions is Rockhounding - I created a Semi-Prescious Gemstone collection, 555 gemstones from all over the world that I cut/ground/polished & take the display boards to gem shows and grammer ...Expand for more

Although I've never really liked structured learning - I love to learn through life's experiences !!!

Was on a 400 foot ship near Japan when KAL 007 was shot down by the USSR, so they diverted us to the North Sea of Japan, about 12 miles off Russia - there were a lot of jets, helo's, planes, guided missle cruisers, ships and submarines in a 4 square mile area - by far the most intense month of my 20 years in the Coast Guard!!
The drug enforcement thing was pretty hairy too, but saving lives gives me great personal satisfaction that I was able to help people that were staring death in the face. That look in their eyes is something I'll never forget, but then again, how they are "after" is an AWESOME thing too!!!
