Steve's Story
Steve's schools include John A. Rowland High School, Evergreen Elementary School, Mt. San Antonio and Northern Lights College in Dawson Creek, BC.
1971 my parents moved the family to a wilderness farm in northern British Columbia. I met my wife in 1974 and we were married that year. We have lived in several parts of northern Canada as far east as NW Ontario. I have had several careers railroad, logging, mining, aircraft mechanic and RCMP Reserve. In 1994 I started work with Transport Canada (Canada's FAA) as an investigator with Civil Aviation Enforcement. We have lived on Vancouver Island since 1997 and have no plans of leaving except for vacations. We have two adult married children...Expand for more
. Our son lives in northern California and our daughter in Ontario, Canada. One grand-daughter from each 6 years and one 4 months. We enjoy all kinds of activities and up until a few years ago owned a 1956 Cessna 172. Flying got to be just too much work so we bought a motorcycle and tour on two wheels instead of with wings. Hobbies include watch and clock repair, black powder and antique firearms, model trains, a Shetland sheepdog named Teagin and our grand-children when they are in country. More recently RV travel, gold prospecting and metal detecting.
My wife Diane was born and raised in northern BC and is French Canadian. Thankfully she speaks French because it never took with me.
