Steve Robinson:  

After graduating I attended Cerritos for two years and then went to Chico State. I graduated from Chico in May of 1968 with a degree in History. It was a great place to go to school. I met many people there and made lots of lifelong friends. As with most of us, the draft was in my face. By a stroke of good fortune I was able to join the National Guard minutes before I was drafted. I spent six years fighting the battle of Hunter-Ligett Military Reservation. Never lost a battle. In 1971 I completed my elementary and secondary teaching credentials from Chico State. I began teaching in Monterey that year. I taught until 1989 when I became a school administrator. I earned a Master's in Educational Administration from the University of San Francisco during the mid seventies. I was an elementary and middle school principal for ten years before throwing in the towel. I enjoyed it most of the time. But when the opportunity came along to retire I had to take it. Since then I have been enjoying my family, my garden, and my many friends. But most importantly...I met my lovely wife, Donna, while we were students at Chico State. We have been married for 35 years! She is a teacher at Carmel River School and the mother of my two beautiful daughters, Sarah and Nicole.
