Steve's Story
Formerly resided in Orange California and moved to the Victorian dairyland Village of Ferndale Ca in October 2013, a month after I retired from active practice. In 2017 we sold our Victorian home (to many stairs to climb) and purchased a single-level hilltop country home in Fortuna, about 7 miles distant.

Ron Porter and his wife, Joan, live in Eureka just northerly of Fortuna.
We see Ron and Joan as often as possible since COVID now limits our activities.
When time allows, Ron and I get together for mid-week lunches, fish Humboldt Harbor for crabs, hit the local gun shows, or just chill out and discuss our aches and pains.
Once I retired, I never looked back, although Ron is still actively working as a painting contractor with his sons.
