Steve's Story
Life
I have now been at Purdue University for the past 21 years..Hard to believe. Faith (my wife of 26 years) and I are very happy here. She is a literature art teacher in the middle school here in Lafayette, IN. My niece and nephew have been with Faith and I since 7/2005 as their parents both passed away and we were their God Parents. It was quite a culture shock as Faith and I never had children of our own..We're up to speed now.
This year Faith and Liz (our niece) and I went to Holland and France for a week each. While in Holland, we were hosted by Barbara, our foreign exchange student who stayed with us in 1992.. She is now 32 years old! She has been asking us to visit each year and finally we did it! Rat...Expand for more
her, I finally got Faith to get on an airplane..Barbara and her parents were wonderfull hosts.
We spent a week in France and got to see Paris, D-Day Beaches and Monet's gardens. What a trip back into history!
Next year, we're going to Hawaii.. Our first trip there. Plus, I will be making business trips to Japan (again) and Italy.
Rob (my nephew) graduated from High School and is joining the National Guard and starting college at the local junior college. Which is just fine as Purdue would be too big for him.. Liz is still a straight A student and will be a junior this year at Jefferson High School. She tried out for and was accepted into "The Fist Edition" show choir..She's learning to sing and dance.
