Stephen Roy's Story
First the short story. (There might not be a longer one!)
I graduated in June with the rest of you. Laid about all summer then started Molar Barber College in August. Finished there in March of '66 and started West Ga. College immediately. Transferred to Kennesaw Jr. College about two years later. Was drafted into the Army in April of '69 and got out in '71.
I got married to Diane Rooks of Cordele, GA in August of '69. We had three children together. Dana was born in June of '70, Gregory in August of '80 and Elizabeth in August of '82. We have no grandchildren as yet! Diane died of breast cancer in August 2002. We had b...Expand for more

After the Army I went back into barbering and put in 45 years behind the chair. I retired August 25, 2010. Donald Dalton was my longest enduring customer and was my last customer. EVER!! BTW I worked with classmate Margaret (Ray) Wallace for 13 years.
I remarried in October 2004 to Jennie Wheless of NC. She has two daughters and they each have a son. Jennie is an RN and has also retired. We live in Mableton, GA.
We bought a small piece of property in the north Georgia mountains and would like to build our 'dream cabin' and retire there.
For now we enjoy 'the lifestyle' and the friends we have there.
