Steve's Story

Life Email me at stevenhowardwilson at gmail to say hi. Basics are: As of 2007 Married 15 years. Married Theresa, graduate of Scottsdale Sahuaro High School. Met at Grace Community Church in Tempe. Married at Central Christian Church in Mesa. Raising 4 kids ages 5, 7, 11, and 12. When not attending school, kids are involved in sports, video games (of course...), and a Christian church in Scottsdale. Happy to be raising our kids in Arizona! School Some thoughts about life at our 25 yr. reunion: Hmmm... How about The Little Red School House... Who was your favorite teacher and what class? Mr. Anderson, Geometry, 10th Grade Who was your least favorite teacher and what class? Mrs. Thornhill in 10th grade. Tough but I learned. Do you have a chosen career? Yes What? Marketing/Business Have you changed careers at all? About 7 times, but all business related. Do you still have a secret ambition? Win the Lottery Any patented inventions? No, currently do “Search Engine Optimization”-Get companies on Page 1 of Google After high school? ASU, UCLA MBA. While pursuing MBA attended same church as Ronald Reagan. Interesting to have secret service agents at your Sunday morning services. What countries ...Expand for more
did you visit? Colombia, Ecuador, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico—does Nogales count? Something you should have said 25 years ago or words of wisdom to pass along now? I probably wouldn’t have studied as much if things like GameCube, PlayStation etc. existed back then… Who would have thought with the advent of the internet and pc’s that learning typing in Mrs. Pogel’s class would have been so important? Life’s short, live it to the fullest and the last 25 years are already gone—in another 25 years we’ll be 68! What is your favorite high school memory? Band trip to Disneyland: remember the Mt. View “Toto” Marching Band? Surviving “squad” tests. Dislocating Stephen Pratt’s finger during a soccer game even though we were on the same team… and Coach Scafaria saying “ok” over and over during team meetings. Sr. year taking less classes and sleeping in later. Running crazy student council stuff and assemblies—cheerleaders wearing football players’ pajamas, what was that all about?? Driving to school instead of taking the bus. Watching school assemblies/musicals during the holiday season. Fridays at 2:53pm—didn’t the final bell ring about then? Earning “bonus” points in Mr. Anderson’s classes.
