Steven's Story
Life
Movie reviewer in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Won Fla. Press Association's 2003 and 2004 awards for written criticism. And I'd like to take this opportunity to say that my former English teacher, Barbara Eberly, was a major babe!!
School
Attended Lexington (IL.) Grade School for seven years; went to Westwood Elementary School in Phoenix, AZ., for eighth grade; went to Sunnyslope (AZ.) High School for my freshman through junior years (bless you, Barbara Eberly, for brightening my Sunnyslope years); finished high school at Orange Park High in FL. Would love to hear from or about the Westwood idiots who thought they ran the school until they went to high school and found out they were just little fish in a big pond!
College

ip at Orange Park High School, where one of the nastiest mentors of my life tried to run me out of the school system. Thankfully, other than a few courses here and there, I've never had to attend college again.
Workplace
Taught middle-school English for four years in Jacksonville, FL. Moved to Los Angeles for a year and did movie reviews for a teeny monthly newspaper. Moved back to FL. and couldn't get arrested as a teacher. Worked at a bank for eight years until they got bought out--left at basically the same salary as when I began. Went back to teaching for six years until the Duval County school system drove me out of teaching and nearly out of my mind. (To all current teachers: You deserve the Purple Heart!) Currently doing writing projects on-line--decent salary, no belligerent teenagers. Also write a free-lance movie column for which I've won two state writing awards, and have written and directed a play for local theater. Next time I get a job--no co-workers!!
