. From 16 thru high school graduation, I worked as a bowling alley mechanic full time, as well as going to school;I can't think of a more enjoyable job to have as a teenager. After high school, I joined the navy, and spent 20 years in; wow, the places I got to see and the people I got to meet - a once-in-a-lifetime experience My most rewarding job was with American Woodmark, which I was deeply involved in the start-up of a new plant; we started up on time, fully trained, and safely - during my time as the Safety, Environmental, and Training Coordinator, we never had a lost-time accident; in short, everyone went ahome with all of the fingers and toes that they came in with! Military I remember when I graduated avionics school, I was suppose to get 2 weeks leave, but my next school was starting in 10 days, so I went to see my detailer; he told me that he could get me new orders, but he wouldn't be able to GUARANTEE that I would go to NAS Miramar (same base as TopGun), so I kept the orders I had - little did I know what an impact that would have on my life! I was able to serve in the greatest community that the navy has to offer - that of the aviation community, working on the sophisticated avionics in the E-2C Hawkeye. To every sailor, Chief Petty Officer, Officer, and civilian contractor that I was fortunate enough to come in contact with, I say thank you for serving with me, and "a job well done" by each and every one of you!
