Steven Donovan:  

raduate in 2011. I have my eldest boy Steven who is 23, my daughter, Samantha who is 12, and my youngest Ian who is 9, and our Goldendoodle Clancy who is one part knucklehead. I was a passive Republican until I separated from the service in 1995 and became politically aware. I believe government should intrude in the lives of its citizens to the minimum possible degree, but I also know that it must be big enough to “get the job done.” To me the job of government includes concepts that are usually thought of as liberal although I do have other views that are more conservative, but I feel are all necessary, such as stringent regulation of necessary monopolies, regulating all business enough to prevent it from becoming predatory, providing necessary comfort to citizens who are rendered destitute by calamity outside their reasonable control, and protection of our environment and natural resources. I feel our immigration and foreign policy is broken and needs fixing.".
