Steven's Story
Life
After graduating from high school, I went to Snow College for two years, where I got an Associate of the Arts Degree. I then attended Utah State University for a quarter and then served an LDS mission in Belgium and France. After my mission, I continued my studies at USU, where I attained a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre: Performance and Directing in 1996.
I then lived in California for three years, where I worked for two different theatre companies as an actor; one in Bakersfield, the other in Oceano.
I then returned back home to Utah, where I've worked professionally as an actor for several years. In fall of 2004, I will be beginning a three year Master's program at UNLV in Nevada in Theatre: Performance. I am very excited about that.
I've enjoyed life very much and look forward to future opportunities. In addition to working, I travel when I can. Including my mission, I've been to Europe three times, and I enjoyed that very much.
I enjoy music, history, reading, watching movies, playing the piano, hanging with friends, eating out with my mom, and, of course, drama.
I'm single and don't anticipate that I will get married. I'm enjoying single life, though. It gives me many opportunities to do things I might not otherwise be able to do.
I'd love to hear from old friends from school.
School
I enjoyed elementary school and high school very much. I couldn't stand junior high. Lord of the Flies is not fiction.

oir. Thos provided many of my fondest memories. I also miss the social aspect of high school. Those were great days, and I get very nostalgic when I think about them.
I always wanted to be an actor, and that's what I am, and I think my high school experiences provided a good foundation to help me achieve many of my dreams.
College
I enjoyed college a lot. Snow College was the first school I attended, and some of my best memories are from those days. I think my favorite professor was Kim Christison, who served as a mentor to me. I loved hanging ot with friends and being involved in music and drama.
I next went to Utah State University, which I also liked a lot (but was a bit harder and not as close-knit as Snow seemed to be). I think my favorite professor there was Roger Held, although I liked many of my teachers and what they taught me. Mostly, I feel what I learned in college has helped me a great deal in my career.
Workplace
I'm an actor by profession and enjoy it very much. Although it's not always the most financially secure job in the world, I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else. I'm happy to say that I've gotten better as a performer as my life has progressed, and I feel like the more I do it, the more opportunities I have to do it. For the most part, I'm very satisfied with my career. I would like to do more dramatic work, though. I do a lot of comedies and musicals, and although I get a good dramatic or classical piece now and then, I don't get to do them as often as I would like.
