Steven's Story
Life
I have loved a lot, found the "One" and lost the one. I miss the company of a partner. I have known for years that I was gay, but was not sure about why or how to live that way. My military services showed me how to live "my own" life and go on from there. I have traveled a long and hard road at times, but with the help of others and my higher power I have finally put myself on the right track. I wish you all happiness and I would really like to hear from some of the friends I had in my past about who they are today and what's happening in their lives.
School
School was really different for me. I knew by then that something was different and I also knew that I shouldn't say anything. I have really good memories about some of my classmates and others I really don't remember well at ...Expand for more
all. I did enjoy working with the "Drama" people and the "Artists", I think that was my way of blending in. I had a few crushes, but they were "Out of reach" so to speak. Going to high school in the 70's was not as easy as some people remember.
College
My college experiences come from a "specialized" school and were some of the best memories I have. I met some really great people and I hope that maybe someone in particular will someday see this and contact me.
Military
My military experience was wonderful, it opened up a whole new life for me. The friends and partners I met will last me a lifetime. I had some fun and learned how to work and work well. There are times I wish I had stayed but then looking back at my life I'm glad I didn't. I would love to get to see some of them again.
