Steven's Story
After Fairfax and college Steve started a career in teaching. Twenty-nine of his thirty-six years in the profession were spent working with "at risk" students in continuation high schools in the fields of Science and Math. He retired in 2002 and lives in Lake Balboa, California. He's was married to Denise (Fairfax class of '69) for 48 years until her passing in 2022 and he has two daughters, and four grandchildren.
Travels have included New Zealand, Thailand, Europe, Russia, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and most of the 50 states.
In his "spare time" Steve has been active in the Lake Balboa Neighborhood Council, having served as President of the Board, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. He remains an active retired member of United Teachers...Expand for more

He has been on the Fairfax Class of ‘61 Reunion Committees for the 20 year, 25 year, 44 year, 47 year (mini), the GRAND 50th reunion, the 55th, 75 Alive (and stlll kickin’), the Diamond Jubilee 60th (which was delayed until September 2022 because of COVID-19), and the 80th birthday celebration for all class of '61 classmates that took take place on September 10,2023.
Steve is now on the Fairfax High Alumni Association Board, working on raising funds for scholarships for graduating students at Fairfax.
