Steven's Story
Life
My family and I moved from Odessa, Texas to Burlingame in April of 1988. I had a really "nice" Texas accent, but quickly lost it due to some "gentle reminders" that I said "y'all" a little too often. I moved from a town of 200,000 to a town of about 1500...HUGE culture shock, but it turned out for the best. I was fortunate enough to meet the best friends I could ever hope for, and graduate with these wonderful people from high school. I think it was the best thing that has happened to me.
I am married (this year will be 5 years) and have twin daughters and a son (I hope to have pictures posted of them sometime). I live in Topeka and work at Stormont-Vail as a charge nurse. We hope to move soon to a smaller town perhaps, and into a larger home, as things are getting a little crow...Expand for more

I am anxious to here back from anyone from Burlingame, particularly any classmates, so we can plan a 15 year reunion (good God, I can't belive I just typed that).
Military
I have never been in the military. The closest I have been (besides watching Valerie graduate from Boot Camp at Ft Leonard Wood in Missouri) is with my continuous involvement with the American Legion Boys State of Kansas. I attended Boys State in Manhattan (the second year they were there) in 1993, and have returned ever since as a counselor and, in the past 3 years, and advisor. It is a great program, and I look forward to returning every year. I am very disappointed, however, that no one from Burlingame has attended in MANY years...either due to lack of interest, lack of eligibility, or lack of funding.
