Steven's Story
Life
I was born and lived in Holdenville from 1949-1964 , when we moved to Broken Arrow, where I graduated from high school. I graduated from Southwestern State College in Weatherford with a pharmacy degree in 1972. I was a pharmacist for three years, then completed a pharmacy residency and a Master's in Public Health at O.U. in 1976. I taught at Southwestern Ok. St. University from 1976-1980, when my wife and I moved to West Lafayette, Indiana. I completed my Ph.D. at Purdue in 1983, and we returned to Southwestern. I gradually rose through...Expand for more
the ranks and am now the Bernhardt Professor of Nonprescription Products and Devices in the College of Pharmacy. I have published over 250 papers and three books in my area, with one more on the way. I speak all across the U.S. and serve as a consultant for the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of patent applications and product launches. I am an expert witness in national trials, Still, in spite of what I have achieved, I have fond memories of my years in Holdenville and the wonderful teachers and people whose lives were inspirational.
