Steven's Story
Deb and I have been married for five years. We don't have kids yet, but do have two cats and four birds (heck, we own a bird store (she runs it)).
I'm a patent attorney with a law office (thrasherassociates.com), licensing company (stirlinggroupusa.com), and help at the family bird store (treetopbirdcenter.com). I love working 60 hours weeks. I've also been known to start up software and other invention companies from time to time.
Since graduation, I've really mellowed, and simultaneously been cursed with curiosity. From ancient civilizations to Wagner, I want to learn a little about everything. As a result, I love to travel, and have been on every continent but Australia (gotta solve this proble...Expand for more

When traveling, I like to take in everything--the smells (best is Olympia, Greece in April), sights (like the hills of Florence or Toledo or the Serengeti), sounds (the market in Cairo), feeling of the air (Antofagosto, Chile), and the tempo and music of local conversation (Crakow, Poland)--even if I can't understand it. I also take in the history when I travel because just visiting the Temple of Zeus in Athens or Temple of Hathor in Edfu isn't enough. I want know what they looked like, and how they thrived for a thousand years or more. I've studied hyrogliphs--and even understand a few. I can fake a working knowledge of Spanish, and know enough German to order kraut and beer.
