Stirling's Story

Shortly after I turned 18, during my first full time job, while I was still trying to complete a university degree at night, I met Linda, the woman of my dreams. Unfortuneatly for me, she was already married, to John, one of my coworkers. I ended up becoming good friends with them, but we drifted apart after we both left the company. I did make some effort, every so often, to get together to renew old acquantancess but this started happening less and less. My Pets
Two short-haired domestic cats. One is a 8+ year old female called 'Sucha' who is, as one vet has put it, 'Feisty'. She is a small cat but takes no nonsense from anybody.
The second cat is a male called 'Shrederik', and we got him to keep Sucha company, since she seemed to be depressed. We got Shrederik as a kitten, and Sucha has never really treated Shreddy as if she likes him, but Sucha is a much happier cat these days, and Shrederik (now 3) livens up all of our lives with his non-stop antics.
My Job
None of the job descriptions to choose from very closely match what I do. I like to work on leading-edge computer science projects, often in the research and development area. I also do future trends analysis in the sciences to attempt to predict what new technologies are coming, and how they will affect planned projects.
