Stuart's Story
Life
After a career spent in advertising as a creative director/ writer and raising 2 kids as a single dad, I have been married for the past 15 years to a woman who proves every day that I could learn from my youthful mistakes. In the past 10 years I have gotten into food entertainment and subsequently joined her business (she's a headhunter) doing all the things in the business she doesn't do: IT, web, marketing, heavy lifting and cooking.
I left Philly in '74 for Baltimore and 11 years later moved down to DC (actually Bethesda.)
My daughter Eden is a costume designer (film, theater) ...Expand for more
in NYC and my son Max is a screenwriter and MAC guru to the stars in LA. His wife is everything you could want your son to marry and it's a toss-up as to which is wiser beyond their years.
I just spent the past year rehabbing our new home from the ground up. It was truly a ****hole when we found it. Perfect! Practically gutted it and made it ours. As soon as the interior work is finished we have to landscape it to make up for 30 years of neglect.
That's the nutshell. Keeping busy. Reinventing myself on approximately 12 year cycles. Keeps the brain cells alive and the adrenaline flowing.
