Stuart's Story

Life My Spouse I was a senior and Carol J Wantz was a junior at West Geauga and was a blind date set up by my buddy Wayne and Carol's friend Frannie.The rest is history...We married in 1969 while I was still in the Navy and stationed in Texas. My Pets We work to provide a comfortable place for our animals. They are our "kids" now that we're empty nesters. My Kids They don't smoke! They've never been arrested! They have an education! They have given us grandchildren! We are proud of them. Son Bob lives in West Point, VA (East Coast) and daughter Becky lives in Roanoke, VA (West side in the mountains) My Job I am retired! I worked at Ohio Bell/Ameritech from 1969 to 1999 as a Motor Vehicle Inspector,Lineman,Cable Splicer, and an Engineering/Construction Field Coordinator. My Navy career went over 32 years when I retired in July 2003 as a Chief Warrant Officer and have had the pleasure of travel, friends all over the world, and a sense of accomplishment I can't begin to describe. My last 8 years working were spent as a contracted Construction Quality Assurance Rep for the Army Corps of Engineers, managing rehab and renovation projects to the medical buildings on Fort Lee, Virginia in Petersburg. I'm an email junkie that likes to keep in touch with family, Ma Bell and Navy folks, and lately finding out I have a talent for whittling and wood carving, which is now a rewarding hobby and even sold some pieces! Carol and I are full-time RV people now too. Started in October of 2013 in our 36 foot Class A motor home and have put over 11,000 miles on it traveling in 9 states to see family and old friends and Navy buddies.
