Sue's Story

I thought I had done this already so I never went back to this place to write a story. My family and I live in San Diego County, in southern Calif. Way to far from home, that is for sure. My husband is out the Marines now and I retired from nursing a few years ago. We have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Live is keeping us busy. We are both retired and I swear we can find more to do than when we were working all those years and raising our kids. Right now we are remodeling our patio and turning it into a computer and sewing room. I can not wait to have it finish and I know my hubby feels the same. I was in Sacramento for a memorial service for my dear aunt. Due to that, I could not look up old friends. My sister and I went together. On our trip up home last April and May, we went to Placerville. My sister has a daughter that lives near there. e where I used to live. Spoke with the lady of the house now, and she was telling me that her hubby grew up in the house. Boy did I feel old, cause I grew up in the house as well. I still get homesick for there. You guys don't know how lucky you are to live up there. Sure it is nice here in S. Calif. but home is home and anything that you can't get in Placerville, you just drive a ways west on Hwy. 50 and you can find what you are looking for there. Let me tell you, my sister and I found quilt shops and we are still looking for me. I suppect that we will take another trip up there soon. We have a blast when we are together, chatting, quilting and house stuff. Catching up on all that we missed when we were raising our familys and busy with what nots. Well I better close for now.
