Sue's Story
Life
After graduating from Broadmoor in 1967, I attended USL (now ULL) in Lafayette for three years, married Frank Hernandez in 1970, and then completed my B.S. in Elem. Ed. at LSU in 1971. Kelly Franklin, our first child was born in 1974, and is now 33, married to Erin O'Neil and living in B.R. They are the proud parents of my two grandsons, Brady Nicholas, born in October 2003, and Lucas Bradley, born in March 2007. t at the elementary level in EBR Parish for 14 years, and then returned to LSU to complete my master and doctoral degree in 1989. Frank was tranferred to Houston in 1990, where I taught at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I divorced Frank in 1993, and moved to Shreveport, where I have served as a professor for 15 years, and the chairman of the Department of Education for the last 9 years at Centenary College. I am now 58 years old and have been in a domestic relationship with James Lawrence, a local CPA, for 13 years.
