Mikey forced me to write my "story." Blame her :)
We (hubby, David, married 36 years) live in Greensboro, NC, (part of the Triad and not the Triangle, which is Raleigh-ish, where Patti Flannery Haire lives) and have since 1977. I have two perfect children (one in NYC; the other in Durham) who we call Richie and Joanie Cunningham, down to the red-hair-and-freckles.

25K, Greensboro is a great town and easy to be civic and active, which I am. My sister, Robin (AMHS 74), also lives here, right around the corner. This is a fabulous place to raise a family; is hot in the summer but not sticky and has a springtime to drool over with dogwood blooms and allergies. North Carolina is a valley of humility between two peaks of pride (VA and SC). It's our little southern joke.
Did a doctorate along the way (there's a reason they call it a "terminal" degree) and I admin a national conference every year (ConvergeSouth) of interest to citizen journalists and other techn-oriented folks, and brings a little Silicon Valley down south (they never want to leave after visiting).
If you're in the area, get in touch. I'm pretty easily googled under my married name. I've learned to say "ya'll," and do so frequently with an occasional, "All ya'll" tossed in for fun.
