Sue's Story
After leaving Peru, I attended college in Illinois, spent a little time in Florida. I then moved to Viet Nam in 1974 for 1 year to work with orphans. I came back and moved back to Florida. In 1977 I moved to Calcutta, India for 2 1/2 years - again to work with orphans. I spent another 1 1/2 years there in the 1980's. I started an unwed mother's home in Madras during that time. Eventually, I settled in and around Denver, Colorado, as I met a guy here I thought I might marry, but alas that did not happen. I worked for an adoption agency ...Expand for more
for 9 years, and then worked at Boulder County Social Services for 13 years: as a secretary, as a social worker and as an office manager. I left to complete an internship program in a community in Loveland, CO. It was a wonderful experience! I am currently working as a social worker with disabled people. I have done lots of personal growth work, and would describe myself as contemplative, as well as fun! I love to play! While I have never had kids, I have helped many (100's) and still receive calls and see many of them. I feel blessed.
