Sue's Story
Life
I left Boulder right after graduation and spent a few years in Hawaii. I returned to Colorado to live in Denver for a short time til after my dad passed away and brought my mom to live in Washington State. I've raised both my kids here in the Pacific Northwest and love it here.
I am looking forward to making my first reunion next year...hoping to hear on that soon!
School
Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow" I say! "I wil...Expand for more
l call on Jim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
"Here's a telegram sir," "Jim died today."
Workplace
I worked for years in sales and tech support for electrical construction materials. When I relocated a few years ago, the type of work I was accustomed to was not available in my area so I've gone back to school and changed fields to do paralegal work. While I can not imagine myself as an attorney (still can't stand to argue), I do love the court room experience and understand law and research well and enjoy being in a support position.
Because my husband (he passed away in 2012) was be able to retire long before I, I chose to pursue a field that I will be able to find employment anywhere. I retired in 2015.
