Summer's Story
Life
Presently, I have a new position teaching 5th grade Math & Science in Harker Heights, TX where our little boy, Barrett Ryan, is a Second Grader and our little girl, Peyton Spring, has just begun Kindergarten. Bary, my husband, has a successful real estate business.
I am a regular performer at the local opry houses in Copperas Cove, Temple, and Cameron... all in Texas of course. I get to sing at least four songs, or more if I'm lucky, with the bands at least once monthly and it is great fun! The steel guitar player in Temple used to play with "the Marty Robbins" back in the day when they were about 16, or so. Cool huh!
School
I really miss school... probably because I spent so much time there and was good at it. I guess that's why I chose teaching and enjoy educating others.

If I had the money, I'd be a professional student!
I attended Rose State College in Midwest City from 1989 - 1992 and graduated with an Associate's Degree as a Paralegal. I switched gears toward Elementary Education, which was what I really wanted to do anyway, after interning and working with a few attorney's.
I attended Seminole Junior College for few hours during the spring and summer in 1993 and then moved to Ada to work for Les Younger, former Ada City Attorney, and as a lifeguard while attending East Central University from 1993-1995.
I walked in the spring of 1996 and moved to Texas to teach in August with the Killeen Independent School District.
Workplace
Presently, I'm teaching 5th Grade Mathematics and Science at Mountain View Elementary in Harker Heights, Texas.
