Hi!
Since graduating from Highland lots has happened including graduating from business school in '76, a short marriage, moving to Gilbert, Arizona (suburb of Phoenix) in '81, and finally getting it right by marrying Lee in '91.
I've worked as a secretary since I was 16 and have only had 3 jobs - I've been at my current one since January of 1983 (am I old enough to work somewhere that long?!).
I have no children, but have been the "momma" of two cats and a number of dogs over the years. I'm lucky because I have one nephew and four nieces. I also am a "step-aunt" to a niece and nephew (my Dad died in 1977 and ...Expand for more
I got a great stepdad in 1987). I have one sister (who graduated from Highland in 1977) and a stepsister (an East High alumnus.....).
I had a mastectomy a week after my 50th birthday in April 2006 (not how I intended to spend that milestone birthday) followed by chemotherapy and radiation - I not only gained a chance at a longer life but got curly hair out of the experience. I'm now a cancer survivor and a changed person. My priorities are very different than what they were - with family and living a peaceful life at the center.
