Susan's Story
Life
After graduation, on December 31,1971 I entered bootcamp for the USNavy, at Bainbridge, MD,and spent the next six years serving my country. During that time I learned a lot about cultures, people, acceptance, and met a bunch of people. I met and married my #1 husband, we got divorced in '86. I traveled around the country working 2 years here and 2 years there. Returned to Colorado in 1988, lived in the Denver area for couple of years, then moved to Idaho Springs, where I met my #2 husband, we moved up to 10000 feet in South Park outside Fairplay. We were married 10/1/1991. My life was turned upside down 10/26/91 when he passed away. I stayed there for a couple of years then went to Arizona, New Mexico, Wisconsin just to see what I could see. 1995 and stayed in Rifle, close to my sister Linda, for bout five years. Now I live in Grand Junction, CO with my four dogs and two cats and two roommates. I am content, comfortable and happy with my life, except I miss having friends around. So if you remember me and have a minute to say HI it would be fantastic!
School
I attended many schools before I entered FHS as a sophmore. I had a lot of friends but when I joined the Navy after graduation I lost touch with almost everyone. I am hoping that being a part of this site I will hear from a lot of you. I would not praise the teachers or councelor I had then, and even after all these years I can not think of a single one that gave me inspiration to succeed.
