Susan's Story
Hi everyone!
I want to tell you a bit about myself since I left Bristol in 1976. I moved to Denver, Colorado and graduated from Colorado Women's College in 1980 with a BA in Political Science. I attended the Denver Paralegal Institute and graduated in 1982 and began working at law firms as a Paralegal. After a recession in 1983, I found myself working at the US Postal Service (USPS) in 1985. I started out as a mail carrier and then moved on to jobs in HR, EEO and eventually Contracting in the USPS Acquisition Department. I attended the University of Denver Law School in 1990.
I moved on from USPS and worked in contracting at the VA for a short time before I moved to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and subsequently the US Forest Service, each time taking on my responsibilities in contracting and procurement policy.

rector of Acquisition Management for California and Hawaii. It's an exciting position and I manage a staff of 95. I am being heavily recruited to stay in CA and take the job full time. Alas, my heart is in Denver and I will return to my Forest Service position as a Supervisory Procurement Analyst in November. My love, my friends, my home and my two beautiful Maine Coon cats await me!
My mom still lives in Bristol in the same house I grew up in on Moody St. My Dad passed 15 years ago. My brother Paul moved to Denver in 1987 and lives with his wife nearby.
I love living in Colorado! Over the years I have skied, hiked, mountain biked, snow shoed, cross country skied and more. Currently I swim, hike, and work out in my gym.
I was back in Bristol in May 2016 and had many memories of St. Joe's school and Eastern High.
