Life
Time to update my bio again!! Updated June, 27, 2005. My son who is 5 1/2...actually he will tell you 5 and 5/6...his birthday is August 18th, and I live in Kirkwood. We love our house which we have lived in for almost 2 years. Somewhere along the line I lost my mind and let Race have two big dogs! Champ, a Boxer which is his buddy and China, a German Shepard and Chow mix who is mama dog. I just got back on Wednesday from my first adult vacation in Captiva Island, Florida, my first adult vacation in overa 6 years! Race and I also just got back from a weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks with Danette Grau (Kohrs) her husband and three kids and Kim Stewart (Walters) and her three kids. Four adults and seven kids...that was an adventure!!! Julie Kennedy (who was my best friend in 7th grade) and I have gotten back in touch due to both of us now being in the real estate business, she is a mortgage loan officer, and we have had so much fun reminiscing and catching up with each other and those people we have kept in touch with. We have talked about putting together a buzz book of classmates from the classes of 1985-1988 and would love to hear from everyone and see what you are up to!
College
My reasoning for picking Southwest Missouri State was because I went there for a tour and had a great time that weekend...so my choosing Southwest was more for fun than scholarly intentions. Danette Grau was my first roommate and of course she was the scholar...we broke ...Expand for more
her into the partying scene by the end of the year. Lost my scholarship after the first year when all I did was go to school, study and party (I didn't have a job). Needless to say my mom was not happy. I then got a 3.8 my first semester of my second year when I was working, going to school, studying and partying. I did learn something from that which is still true that I tend to operate at my peak under a little bit of stress and pressure...but go backwards when it is too much. My major was business with a double emphasis in Real Esate and Finance and I now own an appraisal company, AppraiseMyHome.Net...so I actually used my degree!
Workplace
After college I worked in retail briefly, then I worked for an apartment complex for a year. I then became a mortgage loan officer then got out of the business and became the "tool time girl" and sold for Premier Fastner for a year. Got burnt out on that and decided to pursue my interest in physical fitness and worked for Bally Total Fitness briefly..realized I liked working out a lot more than working "for" a fitness club. I got my real estate license in 1996 and worked for Gundaker and then began appraising in 1997. I now own a real estate appraisal company, AppraiseMyHome.Net and I also sell homes through Keller Williams in Susnset Hills. I moved appraisal office to my house when I moved in August 2003. My appraisers work out of their homes and Ashley is my right hand womanm, who works out of my house with me.
