Susan's Story
Life
I'm attending college. Working on an associates in biology, then I'll work on a bachelors in the same. Afterwards, I hope to get into a masters program in environmental education, the a phd program in environmental science.
School
I don't think much of the public school system. It can have it's uses, but parents need to be diligent and stay on top of their children's work. Just like everyone and everything else in life, public schools tend toward the path of least resistance. They will slack if you let them. High school is generally a complete and total waste of time, lacking in the important task of preparing our young people for post-secondary education Post-secondary education is crucial these days.
College
I am currently attending NOC-Tonkawa. I love college, and my chosen major - Biology. I've attended OSU-Stillwater, and hope to attend NW...Expand for more
OSU-Alva next. For my masters I'd like to go to SOU-Ashland, and for the phd i'd like UO-Eugene.
Workplace
Currently, I am looking for part-time employment, but school is a high priority. So, any job will have to accommodate my class and study schedule.
As a teen I did a lot of babysitting; I was the favorite babysitter of my neighborhood, and cared for a couple dozen kids over the years. In my early 20 I was an au pair; I worked for four families, caring for a total of ten children on a full-time basis. When I haven't been caring for children I've done work in the food service and convenience store industries; I've been a waitress, cook(fast food, pizza, and short order), cashier/clerk(daytime and graveyard), customer care rep (for an AT&T call center), and a receptionist/tech support (for an isp) over the years.
Military
I've never been in the military.
