Susan's Story
Life
After law school, I went to work for a judge. While working there I met my husband, Ken and we knew on the first date that we were doomed for each other. Still, I had accepted a job on Wall Street for after my judicial clerkship, and it seemed like a good idea to get a year of high-test experience, so I went.
They treated (and paid) me well, but it was not my cup of tea. After a year I left NY and married Ken in October 1990.

ecession of the early 90's (their crises, not mine), I left and started a practice with Ken in 1994. We've been working together ever since.
It means a lot to us to make our own decisions and choose the people we want to work with. Our bulldog, Lucie, comes to work with us every day. We don't make a mint but the quality of life factor is high.
We have no kids, a bulldog, a cat (we had 2 until a couple of weeks ago, and we're still sad). But we have a great marriage -- approaching our 12th anniversary -- and we look forward to many more good years.
