Susan's Story
Life
Growing up a Navy brat meant I never spent more than 2 years at any one school, but I always met great people at every one and have good memories.
I began teaching high school and middle school in 1969 and became a "prison principal" in 1989. 't mind hearing from my former inmate students who've made parole or served out their sentences for the same reasons.
I was an educator for 35 years and still believe that sprituality, motivation, self-confidence and an education are the keys to a wonderful life--no matter how early or late you get started.
The people from my past who I'd most like to see again are David Wilson, because he gave me my first real kiss on a moonlit hayride (and I STILL haven't recovered!); Kat(hy) Tippet, Pam White, and Peggy Butterbaugh because we did everything together and they were the greatest friends a high-schooler could have in a paradise called Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and Mr. West who was THE coolest principal any high school ever had. Hands down, these are my best memories...the early '60's in GTMO.
