Susan's Story
Dear SHS Classmates,
James C. Barber SHS Class of 58' has written two books
"October Stories" and "November Stories"
Jim author of these books had a New England factory town in the 1950's as his
school, and its colorful characters as his teachers.
These stories capture a life and time that has disappeared.
But the life lessons endure; Lessons best understood through adventurous and
often humorous stories told through the eyes of a mischievous fourteen year old.
All the stories take place in one month, the months of October and November.
Classmates who graduated from SHS in the 50's will enjoy these books. The

We who spent our days growing up in Stoughton and attending SHS can appreciate the work of
author James C. Barber.
The price of each book is $12.95. All proceeds from the sale of Jim's book go into the SHS Class of 58'
Scholarship Fund.
