Susan's Story
Life
Since graduation I have my daughter, Robyn, born May 1st, 1978. She has a beautiful son, Colin. So that makes me a "young" grandmother!
I worked in the music business for 25 years meeting many people and seeing many places.
Over the past 13 years, I have been a professional photographer in the entertainment, fashion industry and freelancing my work. I have had opportunity to work with many great photographers in my field and met some of my favored influences.
I now live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I also bartend on Ft. Lauderdale beach. I miss friends and family at home, but at least we can visit each other!
School
I went to Hardy School then Thompson. I then moved and went to Ottoson Jr. High. I graduated from Arlington High in 1977.
College
I attended Emerson College for Radio/Audio back in mid to late 80's.
I later went to New England School of Photography to learn commerical photography and have been doing that for 13 years.
In the midst, I tried my hand at web design and multimedia at Boston University and Gibbs College. Gibbs was a terrible school!

I also helped to teach studio portraiture/fashion classes at the New England School of Photography.
Workplace
I really did not know what I wanted to be when I grew up, if that was ever going to happen, until I was about 35. I was at a tattoo convention of all places when I figured it out. I had some camera equipment given to me by my mother. I followed this guy around with my camera from Easy Rider Magazine and knew. This was it! That was in 1993. I took a basic class to make sure and have been in the field ever since. I have been exposed to some really great things in my field and see nothing but greater things happening.
Before photography, I had mundane secretarial/administrative jobs that I absolutely hated. I worked in the medical field for ten years after that or in the midst. Medical Insurance and drug companies are what got me out of that field.
I would not change anything for the world now. I have travelled, photographed musicians, models, corporate executives and some famous people within those areas. Maybe someday, you will see my picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone!
