Life
2005 has been a busy year. We moved from big city to the country, and added 5 goats to our menagerie. Our youngest daughter, Morgan, graduated from high school and spent 9 weeks in Georgia for Army Guard training. Our oldest daughter, Kjrsten, got married July 9 in an outdoor wedding in Lawrence, KS where she lives. And then the next daughter, Heidi, got married August 6 here in Iowa. Becca, daughter #3, tried to cut two fingers off with a table saw at college, but is healing and doing well. Our son, Yon, is still a deputy with the Linn Co. ed to Capt. and became commander of his Army Guard Unit. He spent 14 months in Iraq during the early part of the war flying Chinook helicopters. His roommate's copter was shot down and 3 from his unit were killed. I'm glad to have him back home. Daniel still works as a nurse in the adolescent/child psych. unit in the local hospital. I just finished my 8th year as a receptionist/customer service rep. for a wholesale paper company.
Mom and Dad celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary and are still living on the farm with my sister, Ann. Hope everyone has a great New Year!
