Susie's Story
Let's see after 7 years at Twin City Foods, I looked around at some of the women that had been there for like 20 years and decided that was not going to be me. I got a plane with 1 suitcase and 30 round trip ticket and flew to Reno, NV. I had no experience at anything. I was so very lucky and got a job with a credit union the first week I was here. From there I changed to Nevada National Bank and worked as a vault teller for 6 years. I have held 1 million dollars cash in my hands. (the first time was cool after that it was just work) From there I went to Loomis, Fargo & Co. as the branch secretary and stayed there for 7 years. During that time I got married to Mike, when I was single I didn't care if I stayed 10-11 hours but eventually I left because of the long hours. n-One U.S.A. We provide coverage for the prizes for hole-in-one contests. A kind of niche insurance. It is an awsome place to work, very busy in the summer, very laid back in the winter.
As I mentioned I am married, 12 years now. No kids, Mike came with 2 grown (1 son & 1 daughter) so now I have 3 grandsons, 3, 5 & 12. I spoil them with love and jack 'em up on Mountain Dew and send 'em home.
Mike and I love to camp with our 2 dogs, although the cat isn't very happy about staying home, so I might try to put her on a leash. We love to travel and couple of years ago, we went to Australia and met my half brother, who until about 15 years ago didn't know he had American brothers & sisters. But that is a whole 'nother story!
Over all: My life may have gotten off to rocky start, now is awesome! I look forward to each day :)
