Suzanne's Story
2011, what a star we've had for this year. A rush trip to Florida to move my parents back to Tx, but within hours of our arriving, dad had to be taken to the ER, where a week later, he passed away. Losing a parent was very difficult, especially when I had to help mom through a month of packing, selling stuff, sorting things, selling her house, getting business and financial affairs in order, and try to keep her movitated to keep on living. I'm glad to say that from Feb 4 till now, mom has progressed and wants to live, has purpose and stronger faith in the ONE who helped us through so much, God. It's been a slow go, but I'm so proud of her fighting and my fighting for her to get her back into life and enjoying all God still has for her. She can now say, "I'm not afraid and not afraid of dying, am happy and peaceful" She is loving her new "penthouse", our garage apartment, her church, new friends, TOPs club, etc. She is so thankful for where she is now.
Servant's Heart OUtreach ws put on hold for 4+ months, but God has provided provision for us to keep our building, has given us tons of baby/chldrens clothes, more than we have ever had on hand before. We have been able to provide free lunches for Agape...Expand for more
House ministry for 2 months, and recently gathered the puppet team to get started with a project using puppets to minister to kids on the street for a Kids Outreach program sponcered by Models of the Maker, a Christian womens shelter.
Haven't had much time to "think" and have much time to do what we did before January, but things have slowed down some and somehow, by God's grace, which is sufficient, and I am moving forwrd and can "let my hair down" more now.
Ozzie has taken alot of motorcycle rides with friends, and is still enjoying skydiving. I'm glad he's still able to enjoy retirement. Amy still has her scrapbooking store up and running, it's been almost a year since she bought it. Gary is almost wearing a size 34 and running marathons. He was around 300 lbs a few years ago. Good job Gary. Tim is working in the Dallas area, for a jewelery repair company and loves it. He is doing so good in handling his own life now. He lives in Mesquite, has his own car, bank account, and clean friends. Praise God. Well that's just the last 5 months; imagine what the rest of the year will bring our way, but we know that God is able to get us through anything, as he will never put on us more than we can handle.
