Suzanne's Story
Hey y'all! I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers me, even if they're bad memories! I live in Oregon now, and really like it here. People are into recycling, going organic, and being environmentally conscious. All good things! And I want to write. Terrified of it, naturally, but that's the latest goal. My update as of May 2017 is just to say, write a note if you visit my profile, okay? I have no life!
I've traveled, worked mostly in restaurants, worked on shrimp-boats for almost a year, some construction, tried Real Estate and Insurance, finally graduated at 46 with an Interdisciplinary BS degree in Health and Communications, taught English in Korea, moved to Maine for my 40th birthday, and squandered my inheritance on traveling around the world and studying esoteric new-agey stuff. Now I'm poor, and not working at anything!
I've always been embarrassed to do this sort of thing, as I feel like a nobody. I'm not marri...Expand for more
ed (twice divorced), have no kids, and haven't yet "made my mark". I like to say that "I'm a seething mass of frustration that I'm not yet ruler of the world!" Kind of ironic having this wish when I'm a Luddite living under a rock (no cell, no car, no TV, and certainly no social media!). This is a huge stretch, just being HERE!
Having been molested as a child, I later acted out, got crazy, slutty, and just weird. And now I'm just as weird, though no longer slutty, at least! Having the glamorous "Farrah Fawcett" cancer curbed that one! I also have "multiple chemical sensitivities" (MCS), so often "get dosed" (by fragrances especially) and then the brain-poisoning makes me ditzy if you're lucky, or irritable if you're not!
And it's hell getting old! Like the saying sez, "It ain't for sissies!" Write to me and tell me what you remember about me, and you, and what was happening then. And now?
