Life After graduation from Bremen High School, I attended West Georgia College and graduated in 1972 with a degree in Art Education with a minor in Early Childhood education. I began my teaching career at that time at H. A. Jones Elementary School in Bremen. In 1976 I married my soul mate, George, and we have now been married 30 years! I continued my education at WGC earning a masters in Early Childhood and one in Reading. In 1978 I taught Remedial reading at Villa Rica Elementary School and in 1979 received an offer to teach for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools Overseas. It was the opportunity of a lifetime! I contracted for two years and my first school assignment was in Mannheim, Germany. Two years turned into 24 and I was privledged to also teach in Osterholz-Sharmbeck (by Bremen), Berlin, and Ramsein, Germany, and Misawa, Japan during these 24 years.
