Sylvia's Story
Life
After high school I attended SDSU and worked at Solar in San Diego 17 years. During that time, I traveled a lot and enjoyed being single. In 1978 I married Dave Smith and have enjoyed the adventures that brought me. We moved to Colorado when our first son was born in 1981 to start a rep firm and had two more sons while living there. We returned to San Diego in 1985, moved to Thousand Oaks (9 years) and then moved to Fresno in 1996 when a great job opportunity presented itself for Dave. We love the outdoors and spend time camping, hiking, boating, and traveling. Dave is the Vice President of Marketing for a small international company and he travels a lot for business. I join him whenever I can. We have had wonderful adventures in many countries.

ining and meeting new people. Currently I do temp work, which allows me to work when I want to and keep my schedule open to travel with Dave.
My family is my life. While all my peers are bragging about grandchildren, I'm still in the throes of launching our boys into the world. Our eldest, Steve (26), has recently been recalled to the Marine Corps and is stationed at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside. He will be currently deployed to Iraq in March 2008 for seven months. Middle sons, Jeff (24) graduated from college in May 2007 and is currently looking for a "real" job. Youngest son, Jim (22)has his private pilots license and is working in Prescott, AZ repairing airplanes. Being an older mom has never been a problem and since I married younger man, it balances itself out.
